Located in a small strip mall, very small inside with no more than 7 tables? Got there on a Sunday around 12 pm, had to wait a bit since the place is small. Once we sat down, we ordered many staple Taiwanese food, including popcorn chicken, oyster pancake, and noodles. Everything was tasty. The food came out fast and we finished everything we ordered, which was like 7 dishes for 3 of us. So will go back again if I am in the area.

Very good Taiwanese food. Best item we had was the squid thick soup noodles - actually one of the best I've ever had. Everything else was good, but not necessarily outstanding. The a/c was not working the day we went, so it was uncomfortably hot.

Golden Leaf in San Gabriel is hands down one of the best spots for Taiwanese comfort food. Their crispy pork intestines, oyster noodle soup, and popcorn chicken are absolutely phenomenal--bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked every time. I was so relieved they survived the challenges of COVID, as I was worried this gem might close for good. Thankfully, they made it through, and now that they've resumed dine-in service, I've been going back religiously. The atmosphere is cozy, and the food is just as delicious as I remember. My only wish is that they would bring back their beef noodle soup--one of my all-time favorites. But even without it, Golden Leaf never disappoints. If you're looking for authentic Taiwanese eats, this is the place to go!

I literally went back the next day to try the pork belly plate because I couldn't stop thinking about it. I wish they made this as a bowl but unfortunately they only offer if it for the diced version. I'm not the biggest fan of fatty meat but they cooked is so well and I actually ended up loving the fatty part more than the meat. It was gelatinous and complimented the saucy pork very well. I wish they added more sauce because the rice was a bit bland but it was still good. I appreciate that it came with some sides so I could balance out the meal with vegetables. I ordered it to-go this time and the process was very smooth since it was already prepared.

Golden leaf is a great place to catch up with friends and eat good food. I heard great things about this place and at first glance... they had completely updated their menu! My friends and kids were shocked as we came for duck and beef noodle soup. Thankfully everything on their menu was delicious although being caught off guard initially. I got the popcorn chicken plate it was crunchy delicious and they were very generous with all their side dishes. We came during a heatwave and i was so thankful they always kept our glasses full with ice cold water. Would definitely come back again!

They finally have indoor dining again after all these years. It's an authentic and delicious Taiwanese food place. The place is small but it has many yummy food. My mom ordered the fried pork chop plate with rice and 2 side dishes and I ordered a braised diced pork belly rice bowl. They both tasted very delicious and I especially like my brasied diced pork belly bowl. It was very flavorful and addictive. They are always busy and have many takeout orders. Service was okay because we only saw one Taiwanese lady working there and she was busy with all the phone orders and dine-in orders. You won't be disappointed with their food, but I will order takeout orders next time.

This is the first time I have had dinner at this Taiwanese restaurant. The food is tasty, the service is top-notch, and this is an authentic place to have Taiwanese food. It is like being in the Taiwan night market. Prices are reasonable.

Dine-in experience! I have been ordering takeouts from Golden Leaf countless times. They can do large party trays too. But, sometimes you just want to sit down and enjoy the food right away served piping hot so I am very excited that Golden Leaf is open for indoor dining. We arrived around Sunday lunch 12:15, and we were lucky that one of the handful of tables was available. The mom and pop restaurant has simple decor with a good curated menu serving their top authentic Taiwanese dishes. Here are my favorites (I recommend getting the rice plate to get the 2 side dishes for best value and more variety): Diced pork belly rice Pork belly Taiwanese sausage Popcorn chicken Turkey rice Squid Oyster pancake Oyster or intestine vermicelli Stir fried ground pork noodles Fried pork intestine This long standing restaurant is reasonably priced. The service was attentive with our waters being filled, and food came out quickly and fresh. I highly recommend this tasty local establishment serving affordable food and quality Taiwanese dishes. One of my favorite restaurants.

MENU HAS CHANGED - April 2024. They no longer have my favorite beef noodle soup so that was disappointing. I've been coming here for years specially when they closed the dining room and it was take out only. They've finally reopened the dining room! The vermicelli with intestine is always good but 1 out of 4 times the flavor has been off (not as flavorful). Still, it's one of my go to orders. $8.50. Lu rou fan or diced pork belly rice plate $14 is great. Very filling, obviously very rich from the fat, flavorful and personally I would share this. The side dishes are tricky, if it's late they run out and give you boiled corn or half an egg, otherwise they're pretty good like eggplant or other cold appetizers. Very sad they changed their menu and no longer have the beef noodle soup. They were one of Yelps top beef noodle soups in SGV. They do have an alternative with diced pork but nothing will ever be as good. Easy parking, tap pay and friendly staff.
